Colors of Zen 2
This 2nd Colors of Zen is made with acrylic paints on canvas panel (panel is much thinner than a canvas and also cheaper) This painting conveys the meaning based & influenced by the 1st one – that even though faced against a wall I can carry the vibrant colors from the monks in my “real”world. Without sounding too weird I have to say that be it monks in Bangkok, or Tibet or the beautiful monasteries in Romania or Italy – it really evokes my curiosity and in my travels I often go visit these places. I carry a bit of their calm with me always.
The 1st Colors of Zen is on the monks who I see frequently in Bangkok. Their way of being is fascinating and piques my curiosity on how do they perceive life, what color is their calm & peace made up of? With this train of thoughts I painted the first one using bold colors.
