Colors of Zen

Colors of Zen is made with acrylic paints on canvas. Being based in Bangkok I see monks around frequently. Their way of being fascinates me and evoking much curiosity regarding how do they perceive life, what is the color of their calm senses, how different must be their mind having no connection to the material world. So in this painting I have presumed that these vibrant colors surround their minds and thoughts and as they are always pleasant to meet with, I feel these brilliant colors burst through them on to others. Even through this bold arrangement of colors I have tried to also grasp the essence of their calm and hopefully those who view this painting will feel it. (Bold arrangement of colors can sometimes lead to a very disturbing effect in the viewers, but here in this painting there is a view of calm, peace and this comfortable control of expression)
